    Congrats on your IPO!!

Nice choice of introductory branding options, never skimp on the package design, which , obviously, you haven’t! Kudos to your Production Dept!! It’s no trivial project to get a fresh design “out the door” , straight to “Alpha” in less than a year! I see great growth potential! Production must be relieved at the decision to go “wireless” as the ‘man/hours required to satisfy the i/o demands of all that early ‘push’ brand-development can be staggering and if you don’t watch your ‘mid-levels’ like a hawk, R/D amd Production can end up a little ‘Bloated’ right when you need your Support to kick in! Paying attention to staff morale, inter-dept cooperation and getting back to the normal ops now that the product is out, is all-important! All the gains established with your installed base by your decision to retain backwards-compatibility can go right out the window if you find yourself confronted by hostility in the Main Office at this interim!!

Keep an eye on capitalization, but ‘hang-tough’ to maintain ‘best practices’ and high ‘human-factors’ values. Before you know it, morale will be sky-high, ops will be ‘back in shape’, returns will start looking more and more impressive and almost as soon as inter-dept demands have been met, you’ll be ready to get into bed with ‘Design’, start putting in the ‘after-hrs’ sweat-sessions, make sure that you stay ‘plugged in’ and aware that Production’s support needs are being satisfied!! Do all that and you’re ‘back in dev’ for v2.0 and well into the early design fulfill ment stages with v1.xx!!! (BTW, i.d. choices to maintain the ‘legacy’ aesthetics was a good choice at this early point in your branding as it enhances your ‘brand ID security’. It’s always good to keep your staff’s ‘eyes on the prize’ and aware of ‘who they are’..

Great job!! Keep us aware of rev. cycle develpments and obs. mngmnt. design choices, changes and enhancements; not to mention ‘successes and surprises’ as ‘your little product’ encounters the ‘real world’ and launches into the ‘design life cycle’ in earnest.. Looks to me like the product will kick ass!!

    Mazel-tov!

    Sincerely,
    (moteo grandote) — brand fanboy
    !!

p.s. (nice mktg. shots! Placing the ‘old school’ iPad, with it’s generic, status-quo, ho-hum, industrial design right next to your s.o.t.a. BabyPad v1.xx “for scale”, is outstanding meme mgmnt!! How did you slip it by Apple’s merc corporoids?? ) Keep it up!!
